How AIM Strategies Is
Investing in Topeka Beyond Business

arrow-up

In Topeka, community isn’t just a word, it’s a responsibility. For AIM Strategies, that responsibility lives under one unifying initiative: AIM Cares.

While AIM Strategies is known for its leadership in hospitality and business development, its impact extends far beyond restaurants and downtown revitalization. Through AIM Cares, the organization has created a structured, intentional approach to giving back — supporting families, strengthening partnerships, and responding when the community needs it most.

For those looking to get involved or partner with the initiative, AIM Cares can be reached at AimCares@aimstrategiesllc.com.

A Long-Term Commitment to Topeka

AIM Cares reflects a broader philosophy at AIM Strategies LLC: business and community are inseparable. Economic development, hospitality, philanthropy, and civic responsibility all intersect.

From cash giveaways and nonprofit partnerships to downtown cleanups and personal support for community members, AIM continues to prove that investing locally means more than opening doors — it means opening hearts.

As AIM Strategies grows, one thing remains constant: success is best measured not only by financial performance, but by the positive difference made in Topeka.

AIM for the Cash: Turning Generosity Into Community Engagement

During the 2025 holiday season, AIM Cares launched “AIM for the Cash,” a city-wide interactive scavenger hunt that awarded $2,000 in cash to local residents. The event encouraged families and individuals to explore downtown while engaging with local history and businesses.

The initiative was highlighted by WIBW, showcasing how a creative idea could spark joy while driving positive energy throughout the city. More than a giveaway, the effort reinforced AIM’s belief that business success should directly benefit the people who make it possible.

Partnering With the Rescue Mission

The holiday spirit extended through a partnership with the Topeka Rescue Mission, helping spread joy during one of the most critical times of year for vulnerable families. By collaborating with established nonprofit leaders, AIM Cares ensures its contributions are aligned with real, immediate needs in the community.

This partnership emphasized dignity, compassion, and hands-on support — principles central to AIM’s culture.

A Cleaner, Safer Downtown

Community care also means investing in the physical spaces people share. AIM leadership has actively participated in the Clean and Safe Downtown Topeka Task Force, working alongside local stakeholders to improve the appearance and safety of the city center.

Coverage from WIBW detailed cleanup efforts beginning in 2023 — with continued engagement through 2024 and 2025. These efforts reflect AIM’s long-term commitment to creating an environment where businesses can thrive and families feel welcome.

Supporting LifeHouse and Families in Crisis

When a child’s cry became a call to action, AIM Cares supported efforts connected to LifeHouse Child Advocacy Center. Community partners rallied together to provide resources and awareness, reinforcing the belief that businesses must stand alongside families during their most difficult moments.

By backing initiatives like this, AIM demonstrates that community leadership includes advocacy, protection, and support for the most vulnerable.

Serving at the Red Stocking Breakfast

AIM Cares has also supported longstanding holiday traditions such as the annual Red Stocking Breakfast, covered by WIBW. Events like these raise funds and awareness for charitable causes, bringing together business leaders, nonprofits, and residents around a shared mission of generosity.

Rallying Around Dani Renner

Community impact is often most visible during personal hardship. When downtown leader Dani Renner faced a cancer diagnosis, local staff and supporters rallied in solidarity. AIM stood alongside others in showing encouragement and support — reinforcing that community means showing up for individuals, not just institutions.

AIM Caring for AIM:

The AIM Cares Fund

At AIM, we believe that community starts within our own walls. While we are deeply committed to downtown revitalization and local philanthropy, our most important investment is in our team.

The AIM Cares Fund is an internal safety net created by employees, for employees. It is designed to provide immediate financial relief to team members facing unexpected hardships or crises.
